A parish council in Nantwich is to hold a public debate so residents can air views on topical issues.

Stapeley Parish Council is staging the event as it prepares for a public inquiry into the controversial Muller Property “Nantwich South” planning application.

It also wants villagers’ views on the ongoing issues surrounding he new community hall (pictured), next to Pear Tree Primary School.

The debate will take palce on Thursday September 19 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in Pear Tree School hall.

A parish council spokeswoman said: “This is an opportunity for local residents to raise any matters of concern, as there is a lot going on at the moment.

“The Public Inquiry following Cheshire East Council’s refusal of the Muller Homes’ planning application. The Parish Council is planning to add its own weight to that at the inquiry which is expected to be in November/December.

“The lease on the community hall comes to an end in November and residents may have an opinion as to whether the parish council should continue to operate the hall, and if so, how it should be operated for the benefit of the community.

“And we currently have a vacancy for a parish councillor, so someone might be interested to find out more information on this.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

I volunteered my time at weekends to open and lock this white elephant of a building, and yes, I am still waiting for a reply, epic fail!
My advice to the shambolic organisation running this is to sell it on at auction, being not fit for purpose in its present form.
