Aqueduct Marina near Nantwich has helped to raise more than £1,100 for charity at two events.
The venue, at Church Minshull, held a “Boaters Bash” concert, and a “Family Fun Day” – all in one busy weekend.
Money was raised for Powered Wheelchair Appeal run by Helsby Golf Club (£1,000) and the Saturn Project’s education programme and boat maintenance (£100).
More than 150 tickets were sold for the Boaters’ Bash which featured Wigan band, Aphrodite.
The Sunday Family Fun Day also proved very popular, with a dog show organised by Nantwich Vets, Nantwich singing group The Funky Choir, the Cheese Boat and the model boats in the marina.
The Shroppie Fly Boat, Saturn, gave visitors a chance to view the last purpose-built fly boat in existence.
Crewe Model Boat Club offered young and old the chance to try out radio controlled model boats.
There were other stalls on site during the day, including the Shropshire Union Canal Society.
The Powered Wheelchair Appeal was set up in 1983 to raise £641 for a powered wheelchair for a local youngster.
The appeal has continued and has now provided 314 wheelchairs for young people in Cheshire, including James Harris from Shavington.
James’s mum Anya said: “We suggested the charity to the marina because having the electric wheelchair has made so much difference to James’s life.”
Marina director Robert Parton added: “We are so pleased to be able to donate such terrific sums to these very worthy causes and it’s fantastic that everyone had so much fun raising such an amazing amount.”
