A man suffered serious hand injuries after being trapped in farm machinery at Sound, near Nantwich.

Fire crews from Nantwich and Audlem were called out to help cut the victim free from a tractor at premises on Whitchurch Road, Broomhall.

They found the man with his hand trapped by the chassis on the tractor, and used specialist cutting equipment to get him out.

The casualty, who has not been named, was then handed over to paramedics at the scene.

The accident happened at about 10.45am today (July 16).
