At the opening of the exhibition which runs until Saturday July 20, museum trustee Graham Dodd congratulated them and the schools on the production of  “a superb exhibition”.

He noted the great variety of eye-catching exhibits and the “wow” factor when entering the Millennium Gallery.

“The exhibition impresses because of its diversity and the amazing array of talent on show. The rich history of the town has been displayed in a most spectacular and comprehensive fashion.”

It is hoped that as many visitors as possible will be able to enjoy the event. Entry to the museum is free.

Artwork seen in these pictures was produced by pupils at Brine Leas, Malbank, Willaston Primary and Weaver Primary.

SkoolsFest also featured hundreds of youngsters performing at the weekend.

Pupils formed a large choir and sang in the town square, while others performed theatrical shows, including Shakespeare’s The Tempest.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
