Free teddy bears are being dished out to newborns at Leighton Hospital as part of a 40th anniversary.

The bears are being handed out by the Leighton Hospital League of Friends team, which celebrates 40 years since its launch in 1973.

It is also celebrating 30 years since the League’s shop was opened in the hospital which treats thousands of Nantwich and Crewe residents every year.

So they have chosen to hand out free bears to babies born on May 15 and June 12 – the two dates which celebrate the anniversaries.

The gift will also include a keepsake box.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
