Olympic dressage rider Richard Davison will be in Nantwich for a special masterclass event at Reaseheath College.

Davison will be joined by world class showjumper Michael Whitaker and international three-day eventer Alex Hua Tian.

The trio will be providing the best competition tips at a masterclass at Reaseheath’s Equestrian Centre on Thursday May 16.

The event, expected to attract a capacity crowd, is being held in partnership with Martin Collins Enterprises, which provided and installed the competition surface in Reaseheath’s indoor arena.

During the evening Richard, Michael and Alex will demonstrate their personal strategies for keeping horses motivated during competition season. They will ride several different horses, from novice to advanced.

Davison represented GB at four Olympic Games – London 2012, Atlanta, Sydney and Athens.

He is Britain’s leading international dressage rider, a European silver and bronze medallist, a former British National Champion and a five-times World Cup finalist.

Whitaker has competed successfully for over 30 years on the international circuit, and has won 11 team medals at championship level, three of them gold.

Alex Hua Tian galloped into the public eye when he became the youngest event rider ever to compete at an Olympics. He represented China at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 when he was just 18 years old.

Alex Goldsack, of Martin Collins Enterprises, said: “We have an excellent relationship with Reaseheath and are delighted to be holding this event in the college’s exceptional facilities.

“We have selected riders from all three disciplines to show how they work their horses during the competition season and how techniques cross over between these disciplines.

“All of our riders are real professionals who will appeal to a wide audience. We feel those attending will have an enjoyable evening and learn a great deal.”

Reaseheath’s head of equine Caroline Booth added: “Spectators will have a rare opportunity to see three different but equally talented riders demonstrating the skills which have taken them to the very top of their sport.”

The event is on Thursday May 16 from 6.30pm, doors open 5.45pm.

Tickets are £20 adults, £15 students / under 18s.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
