Showtime - Crewe Lyceum Theatre, to stage a wedding fayre, and summer events

By Claire Faulkner
Crewe Lyceum was packed as visitors helped celebrate a new era in the history of the theatre.

A gala variety show of dancing, singing and comedy was held to mark the occasion of new owners taking over from Cheshire East Council.

There was something for everyone in this well planned and produced show.

The audience had a great night – including my dad, who said he hadn’t laughed that much in ages.

Reminiscent of Tommy Cooper, Brian Conley had the audience crying with laughter, although he may want to rethink the fire-eating sketch!

Wishing he could still fly, Orville along with his very best friend Keith Harris stole the show and made the night an evening to remember.

The wonderful Jane McDonald sounded amazing and received a well deserved standing ovation from her admiring fans.

All in all, an enjoyable and fun night out was had at The Lyceum.

Hopefully, there will be many more to come.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
