A South Cheshire car dealer has helped a local youth football club kick off a new era with a sponsorship deal.
Peugeot dealership Gateway, on Crewe Gates Industrial Estate, has thrown its support behind Cheshire Blades FC.
The club has been running at grass roots level for over 20 years, and trains and develops more than 300 young players aged between three and 16.
The Cheshire Blades has 19 teams, for both boys and girls across Nantwich and Crewe, and aims to create a fun environment for footballers at all levels.
The under 14s squad, who won their cup semi-final while debuting their new sponsored kit, visited the dealership to hand deliver a signed football shirt for employees.
Alex Walker, general manager at Gateway, said: “We strongly believe in supporting local community initiatives and as an office full of footie fans, Cheshire Blades FC is a natural fit for us.
“We look forward to watching their progress and are keeping our fingers crossed that our signed shirt might one day be worth a small fortune!”
