Wistaston Church Lane pupils make Mother's Day posies

These Youngsters in Wistaston made sure their mums were spoilt on Mother’s Day, by designing them posies.

The Year 2 children at Wistaston Church Lane School rose to the challenge when they were asked to design and make a special gift for their mothers.

They cut out colourful semicircles which they creatively decorated and lined with a doily.

They chose flowers from a selection donated by Sainsbury’s on Middlewich Road, Nantwich, and arranged them into their posies.

The work was supervised by their teacher and the press officer for Sainsbury’s, Olwyn Payton.

Olwyn said: “Children had a great time making their posies and were so excited at the end of the day to give them to their mothers!”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
