Richmond Village daffodils from Sainsbury's

Spring came early to residents of a Nantwich care home after a local supermarket donated over 50  bunches of daffodils.

Sainsbury’s Nantwich,on Middlewich Road, donated the yellow flowers to Richmond Village, off London Road.

Olwyn Payton, local community champion for the store, delivered them to residents and guests during an afternoon of dancing.

Nicola Tooke, village advisor, helped to hand out the flowers around the care home.

She said: “We are always delighted when Olwyn comes through the door with flowers from the store.

“Daffodils always bring a touch of sunshine and they have certainly brightened up a cold February day.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
