Comedy fans can grab some of the few tickets left to witness the last ‘The Very Best in Stand Up” night of 2012 in Nantwich.

Three acts will make their debuts this Friday December 7 in a show compered by John Robins, straight from his smash Edinburgh hit.

John started off in comedy in 2005, making the final of So You Think You’re Funny in his first year in stand up.

His 2012 show “Incredible Scenes” was directed by his long time friend Russell Howard, whose shows on both TV and Radio, John has appeared on.

First act is Mitch Benn, one of the most sought-after acts on the comedy circuit.

He is acknowledged as one of the best writer/performers of comic songs in the country, starting his comedy career in Edinburgh in 1994.

Markus Birdman is another act making his Nantwich debut, bringing his often surreal brand of comedy which brought him huge success with his previous Edinburgh shows.

His show won universal praise for blending his style of humour with his own story of suffering a stroke last year aged just 40.

Household name Jason Cook will close the show, hot on the heels of his success with “Hebburn”, the new BBC comedy which he wrote and stars in alongside Chris Ramsey and Vic Reeves.

The highly-acclaimed story is a warm, true-to-life comedy based on his own experiences of growing up in the North East.

Promoters believe this could be his last appearance for Civic Comedy before he becomes the big star he is destined to be.

Promoter Mike Ramm said: “This show has got something for everyone. A mixed bill of styles and award winners from top to bottom.”

Fellow promoter Jon Mitchell added: “We’re really pleased with this line up. Three more acts making their debut, and an act in Jason who will be a household name.”

The show takes place at Nantwich Civic Hall this Friday, tickets are £10 available from Nantwich Civic Hall and www.civiccomedy.co.uk

Doors 7.15pm. Show starts 8.15pm.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
