A51 Bypass crash

Two police officers are in hospital after their marked vehicle was involved in a road accident in Nantwich.

Cheshire Police confirmed the accident happened at the traffic lights junction of Beam Street, Barony Road and Millstone Lane.

It’s believed there were no other vehicles involved although details are sketchy at this stage.

The accident led to the closure of the busy Beam Street near the Crescent Garage during peak hour this morning (November 7) as investigators recovered the vehicle.

The driver and passenger were taken to Leighton Hospital. It’s not clear whether their injuries are serious.

A police spokeswoman said the police car involved has been recovered and that roads should be reopened “imminently”.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
