Edward Timpson meets Crewe & Nantwich FSB members

Nantwich business owners quizzed MP Edward Timpson over Government support for local enterprise.

Fifty members of the Crewe & Nantwich branch of Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) met Mr Timpson.

And he outlined what he feels the Government is doing to help small firms find information, advice, and finance they need.

He said: “Businesses have long suffered from a lack of financial support and over regulation.

“We are working to help cut away the red tape and provide not only the financial support that is needed but also to help nurture the development of skills that are relied upon.”

John Dwyer, secretary of the Crewe and Nantwich FSB Branch, said: “We are very grateful Edward joined us for our meeting and took so many questions from our members about the work that is being done to support us.

“As someone involved in two South Cheshire business enterprises I know how valuable it is for small businesses to have their concerns heard, understood and responded to.”

FSB is the UK’s largest trade body representing the self-employed and owners of small firms.

Formed in 1974, it has 200,000 members across 33 regions and 194 branches, including in Crewe and Nantwich.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
