M6 - Cheshire Police motorway patrol

Motorists in South Cheshire are being warned by police as severe weather hits the region’s roads.

Emergency services have been inundated with call outs as the county′s road networks have been disrupted by strong winds and heavy rain.

Some routes have been flooded while fallen tree branches have left debris on other roads.

A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said: “In the interests of the safety of motorists and the public, motorists are advised to only embark on journeys that are absolutely necessary.”

Heavy rain is forecast over the next 48 hours for the Nantwich and Crewe area, with further disruption likely.

Motorists are advised to tune into local radio for updates in relation to road closures and take extra care, to plan ahead and allow plenty of time for their journey whilst driving in the adverse weather conditions.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
