reading challenge children at Nantwich Library

Dozens of Nantwich youngsters celebrated completing their summer Reading Challenge this week.

Nantwich Library staged a series of presentation events for children of all ages who took part in the challenge.

Youngsters who completed their six books were rewarded with a medal and certificate at the library on Beam Street in front of their proud parents.

The “Reading Challenge” aims to promote the joy of books and reading during the summer holidays when they are not at school.

Nantwich Library manager Tom Appleby hosted the presentation evenings.

Deputy Leader of Cheshire East Council Cllr David Brown was on hand to present the medals.

And John Pochin, of Pochin Construction Ltd who are building the new Marks & Spencer store next to the library, gave out goody bags and certificates.

Volunteer helpers who ran the scheme throughout the summer were also rewarded for their efforts.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
