Visitors to Nantwich Museum can view the London 2012 Olympic Torch carried in Crewe by Andy Fewtrell on May 31.
Andy was one of 8,000 torchbearers involved in the countrywide relay who were able to retain their torches.
The torch on view at the Pillory Street museum has since been held by more than 6,000 people – including a countess!
Andy founded “The Up and Under Group” – a charity which works to change youngsters lives through adventure. He does not know who nominated him to be a torchbearer.
The museum is adding to the Olympics theme with some “Ancient Greeks” workshops taking place at the museum on August 1 and 2 this week.
The workshops for children are drop in between 11am and 3pm.
The cost is £2 per child who must be accompanied. Large groups are requested to book in advance.
