A residential care home in Nantwich is entering the Olympic spirit – by staging its own Games!
Richmond Village Nantwich will be hosting a range of sporting competitions all week for residents, staff and friends.
The Village will be transformed into an Olympic stadium as competitors take part in balloon volleyball, bowls, netball and welly-wanging, plus many other events throughout week.
Entries have already been received including one from Alan Smith (pictured), resident at the Village.
“The idea of our own Village Olympics is fantastic,” said Alan.
“This is something that everyone can get involved with and I am personally looking forward to wanging my wellie across the Bowling Green!”
The Olympics week will culminate in an official closing ceremony on Saturday August 4 at 2.30pm with medals being presented to all the successful entrants.
