Societies Spectacular, Nantwich town square 2012

By Claire Faulkner
Nantwich Town Square was packed as visitors enjoyed the first “Societies Spectacular” in summer sunshine.

The event, organised by Cllr Stuart Hutton, introduced people to the range of clubs, organisations and societies in the town.

Around 30 different local groups were represented on stalls in the square yesterday (July 21).

These included Nantwich Walled Garden Society, Nantwich Tennis Club and The Cat community radio station.

Demonstrations of Zumba and Bokwa and performances from The Lions Youth Brass Band also took place encouraging people to get involved and try out new activities.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
