Nantwich Museum Millennium Gallery

Nantwich Museum is seeking volunteers to help with the popular “Nantwich under the two Elizabeths” exhibition.

The Pillory Street venue hosts the exhibition in the Millennium and Community galleries of the museum until Saturday September 1.

The exhibition, supported by a Heritage Lottery Fund grant, compares and contrasts life in Nantwich under the reigns of Queen Elizabeth I and Queen Elizabeth II.

It pays particular reference to buildings, trade, food and health and clothing.

As well as interpretation panels and exhibits of the times there are interactives including a listening post with oral histories from the 1950s.

Volunteers are able to help visitors to enjoy and make the most of the exhibition.

The museum depends on many volunteers and is actively engaged in ensuring their contribution is a rewarding experience.

Anyone interested in joining the volunteer team can contact the museum on [email protected] , phone 01270 627104, visit www.nantwichmuseum.org.uk

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
