Nantwich Schools Olympic Torch - Pear Tree pass it to Millfields

Youngsters across Nantwich are entering into the Olympic spirit – by performing their very own Torch Relay.

The Nantwich Education Partnership (NEP) bought an Olympic Torch so it could be passed from school to school by nominated pupils.

NEP consists of 16 schools in the Nantwich area – 14 primary and two secondary Brine Leas and Malbank – who work together to improve education, experiences and outcomes for all children in Nantwich.

A small group of children run between the schools with the torch to allow them the same experience as the official torch runners.

They then present the torch at the start of the next schools sports day.

Millfields Primary School will be running the torch to the Wyche Primary School on June 14.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
