Nantwich-based community radio The Cat is launching a writing competition to celebrate the forthcoming Olympics.

The Olympic torch will be paraded through South Cheshire on May 31, and The Cat wants people to put pen to paper in a new competition.

It’s open to all ages, and entrants have to write in 50 words or less a story with a sporting theme.

Winning entries will be read out on The Cat and appear on our website.

Entries can be emailed to [email protected] or dropped off at Nantwich Book Shop.

Closing date is 23.59pm on Saturday August 4.

Include your name, age and contact details on all entries. Rules, terms and conditions can be found below.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
