Twenty-three dedicated team members from Belong Crewe have earned diplomas and other qualifications to enhance their skills at the Brookhouse Drive care village.
Their efforts were recognised at a ceremony at Vale Royal Abbey, where they received certificates and medals to mark their achievements.
Achievements ranged from leadership qualifications to diplomas in Health and Social Care, Catering, Hospitality, Customer Service, Business and Administration and Facilities Services, awarded to staff from the care village, as well as the not-for-profit organisation’s home care service, Belong at Home.
Belong Deputy Chief Executive Tracy Paine said: “Our awards ceremony is a great opportunity to recognise and celebrate everyone within Belong who has put in the effort to enhance their knowledge base.
“We know it is our people who make the difference in supporting Belong customers to enjoy positive outcomes and quality of life with us, and we are committed to investing in our teams to continue developing their skills.”
Belong holds the Gold Investors in People accreditation and provides extensive career development opportunities to its teams.
More than 120 people who attained qualifications across the organisation’s seven care villages were celebrated at the ceremony.
Phil Caine, general manager of Belong Crewe, added: “It was a fabulous event and a wonderful opportunity to recognise the difference our people make to customers’ lives through their dedication.”
Belong works with Cheshire College South & West, Total People and Newcastle-under-Lyme College to provide training and apprenticeship opportunities.
Its village in Newcastle-under-Lyme recently received the Outstanding Support Award 2019 from Newcastle-under-Lyme College for the opportunities created for students through apprenticeships.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
