Mortgage and wealth management firm Watts in Nantwich is celebrating its third major industry award in less than a year.
It was named Protection Adviser of the Year at the National Mortgage Adviser Awards after impressing industry judges with its focus on customer care.
Watts, based on Beam Heath Way, triumphed against competition from large city brands putting Nantwich on the map for business excellence.
The award, recognised as the benchmark for excellence in the industry, was presented before a crowd of more than 1,000 at the Financial Services Expo in London.
It follows on from Watts being named Best Broker for Protection at Mortgage Strategy Awards and Best Adviser in the North West at the Barclays Mortgage Strategy Awards earlier this year.
Director Barry Jones, a specialist in business and personal protection, said: “To receive national recognition not only once but three times in the same year makes us especially proud of what we do.
“Nantwich isn’t the hub of commerce in the North West and we can’t help feeling good every time the name of our small town is called out at these prestigious ceremonies.”
Watts acts as a mortgage broker and its protection division finds life and critical illness cover for families.
The latest accolade was for its duty of care and protection advice offered to clients when taking out a mortgage.
Father-of-four Mr Jones, from Wistaston, added: “This year in the business community alone we have seen a number of people tragically taken from us at a young age and our hearts go out to them and their families.
“We know it’s not easy talking about critical illness, such as cancer and heart attacks, but mortality is something we all have to face.
“Should the worst happen, it gives assurance to know your policy will pay out and looking after finances and your family is one less thing to worry about.”
Managing director Andrew Watts added: “We work and live in a small community and care about meeting all of our clients’ needs.
“This latest award is testimony to our great team and our relentless focus on doing what is truly best for clients.”
Watts fundraises for St Luke’s Hospice and Parkinsons UK and team members regularly support local fundraisers such as the recent RNLI day at Overwater Marina, Audlem.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
