Stapeley Water Gardens site, London Road entrance

Housing developers will present plans for 150 new homes on the old Stapeley Water Gardens site in Nantwich at a meeting this week.

David Wilson Homes will be at the Stapeley Parish Council meeting at Pear Tree Primary School on March 1 to outline the details of the development.

The firm already has outline planning permission to redevelop the plot off London Road.

In letters sent to Stapeley residents, they say they are “seeking the views of the local community” before submitting a detailed application to Cheshire East Council.

It comes amid concern among residents about a larger scheme planned by Muller and Jones for over 600 homes further west along the same stretch of land off Peter de Stapleigh Way.

David Wilson says the lay-out of where houses where will be built will “reflect the character of Stapeley”, and include a children’s play area and “extensive landscaping”.

Residents can air their views at the parish council meeting at 7pm this Thursday.

They can also comment on a community information line 0161 247 8417, by emailing [email protected] or writing to David Wilson Homes c/o Lexington Communications, Barnett House, 53 Fountain Street, Manchester, M2 2AN.

Deadline for comments is this Friday March 2.

Families will also be able to lodge their comments and/or objections to Cheshire East Council once plans are lodged and a public consultation period is underway.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
