Visitors enjoy a train ride - south cheshire model engineering society

Members of the South Cheshire Model Engineering Society are back on track after staging their first event since the outbreak of Covid pandemic.

They held a “Track Open Day” on Sunday (August 22) which allowed the first visitors to their site Willaston in 18 months.

The Track Open Day took place on their premises at the rear of The Peacock Inn, Crewe Road.

There were miniature-gauge steam, diesel and battery electric train rides on the 5-inch railway track which is almost a quarter of a mile in length.

Rides were £1, with contactless payment available, to raise vital funds for the society.

The Track Open Day took place in sunny and dry weather and was enjoyed by hundreds of visitors.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
