Nantwich artist Tony Denton has opened a new gallery-shop to display and sell his artwork, writes Jonathan White.
“The Marina Gallery” is a single storey wooden building located next to the Chandlery at Nantwich Canal Centre on Chester Road.
Tony officially opened his new centre on Saturday (August 14).
Artwork currently available in his gallery-shop include original artwork hand-painted onto a variety of mediums which include canvas, slate and solid oak whiskey barrel lids.
Prints of these are also available and are customisable.
The Marina Gallery is open every day except for Mondays from 9am-4pm with free parking available.
Tony also has a stall at Nantwich Market on Saturdays, and is well known in Nantwich for donating a ‘Support the NHS’ canvas painting he produced which was auctioned for Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity.
He also donated paintings of Captain Sir Tom Moore on slate and on wood to the town, which were both temporarily on display in the Nantwich Bookshop & Coffee Lounge.
And he donated his painting of the Nantwich Town FC crest being painted to the club.
He said: “I want to bring affordable and original artwork to the people of my new adopted town.
“It brings me joy to create and I hope I can spread that joy a little further now I have opened up the gallery.”
