Four talented local artists played socially distanced solo sets to entertain Nantwich Christmas shoppers, writes Jonathan White.

The event was set up by Nantwich Morrisons Community Champion Nikki Allen and local community radio station The Cat 107.9 FM.

Dayve Dean, Callum J Wright (pictured), Oli Ng and Megan Lee all brought Christmas cheer and entertained shoppers from a Winter Wonderland adjacent to the supermarket entrance/exit.

The Winter Wonderland was decorated with Christmas trees, presents, and a handmade fireplace and sleigh.

The Cat also broadcast live on air from the venue.

Chris Cadman, managing director of The Cat community radio, said: “As the local radio station we are proud to support local community groups and initiatives to help in these difficult times.

“We also like to shine a spotlight on fantastic local artists.

“We hope to have another live outside broadcast in the near future.”

The Cat, run by an army of 40 volunteers, is the only licensed community radio station in Crewe and Nantwich and is a not-for-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
