A 17-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a man was found with serious injuries in Nantwich.
The teenager, of no fixed address, who was arrested on Friday (July 31), is also charged with possession of a meat cleaver.
He has been remanded and appeared at Crewe Magistrates Court yesterday (August 3).
On Thursday 30 July, a 42-year-old man was charged with attempted murder.
He appeared at Crewe Magistrates Court the following day and was remanded to appear at Chester Crown Court on 27 August.
The charges relate to an incident at an address on Tailors View, Arnold Street on Sunday 27 July.
A 39-year-old man sustained serious injuries to his head and was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
A 50-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on conditional bail.
