hatherton farm building blaze - pic by Audlem FS

Two people were treated at the scene of a blaze in a farm building in Hatherton, near Nantwich.

The fire involved bales of hay stored in the building off Hunsterson Road, Hatherton, at around 2pm yesterday (July 27).

Fire crews from Audlem and Nantwich used hose reel jets and breathing apparatus to fight the flames.

Once the fire was out, crews used two breathing apparatus and a stack drag to turn over the hay while a hose reel jet was used to damp down the area.

Cheshire fire and rescue said: “Two casualties were given oxygen therapy and assessed by paramedics as a precaution.

“Crews remained on the scene damping down and coordinating the removal of the hay bales with the farmer.

“They left the scene shortly before 5pm.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
