wizard of oz theme in nantwich

A furloughed drama teacher has been keeping Nantwich families entertained during lockdown – with a “Wizard of Oz” themed stage outside her house!

Fliss Finch decided to set up the mini stage and a hopscotch trail next to it in a bid to keep her own two children occupied.

But it’s become a hit for families living nearby on Carter Close, in Kingsley Village, Nantwich.

Fliss would normally be busy teaching drama at a number of schools including Malbank, St Oswalds and Stagecoach.

But despite being furloughed with all schools closed since March 20 due to COVID-19, she was keen to keep the kids and herself entertained!

Husband Craig said: “We’ve had loads of people trying out their hopscotch skills or stopping to laugh at the mini stage!

“My wife was keen to try and cheer up the community and passers by. We hope it has helped keep spirits up.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
