A dog walker suffered serious facial injuries when he was assaulted in Crewe, police say.

Detectives want help to trace the attacker after the incident on Bradfield Road, near the Coppenhall Working Men’s Club, shortly before 7pm on Friday (May 15).

The victim, a 28-year-old man from Crewe, was punched in the face by a man who arrived at the scene from North Street in a grey Vauxhall Astra.

The offender fled in the car following the assault, travelling back along North Street towards the Cross Keys roundabout.

The incident left the victim with serious facial injuries.

He was taken to hospital in an ambulance and has since been discharged after receiving treatment.

Detectives are urging anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident, or saw anything else that may help their investigation, to get in touch.

They also want to speak to anyone who believes they may know the identity of the offender or have information or footage concerning the car he was in.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
