Nantwich Players studio awards

Nantwich Players Studio has scooped a top honour at the latest festival to be held before the Coronavirus shutdown.

The Studio team entered “Girl in the Machine” by award-winning writer Stef Smith.

A 2-hand, dystopian drama explores a potential digital future, and what it might mean for ‘life’ as we know it.

And at the “Durham and Sunderland One Act Festival”, it scooped top prize in the “Champions Trophy” along with an award for Best Actress to Bethany Froud for her portrayal of “Polly”.

The team took part in the “Cheshire Drama Festival” at the MADS theatre in Macclesfield.

This was the qualifying round to progress on to the next stage of the competition in the “All England Theatre Festival”.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
