Tatton Park is making changes to its normal opening arrangements from Monday March 23.

The parkland and gardens will remain open to visitors as normal but on low season hours until further notice.

A spokesperson said: “We recognise that people are likely to need access to open spaces in the weeks ahead, so anyone is welcome to enjoy walking and exercise in 1000 acres of beautiful deer park and gardens, while observing guidance on social distance.

“To help people take advantage of fresh air and exercise or connecting with nature, car entry is being halved with a special 50% offer and the gardens will be free of charge, at least to the beginning of May.

“The Mansion will not be opening as planned at the start of high season. The farm, play area and BBQ area will also be closed until further notice. These arrangements will be kept under review.

“The estate’s food shop, the Housekeeper’s Store, will remain open and the stables restaurant will offer a take-away service which visitors can enjoy in the Stableyard or park.”

All visitor information centres in Macclesfield, Congleton, Brereton Heath Local Nature Reserve and Nelson Pit, on the Middlewood Way, near Poynton will be closed from March 21.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
