crewe and nantwich rufc ladies v didsbury

Crewe & Nantwich RUFC Ladies celebrated the fifth anniversary of their first ever match in fine style by thrashing Didsbury TOC 63-0.

The Vagrants showed how far they have come in those five years with a devastating display to cement second place in the North West Championship 2.

Followng an injury to a Didsbury player in the third minute, the match faced a delayed start, which caused some disruption to Didsbury and left them without any substitutions.

However, the visitors showed grit and battled on regardless – unfortunately though it was not enough to stop the Crewe attack.

Following a series of line breaks and quick offloads Didsbury found themselves continually on the back foot and were nine tries down at half time.

In the second half, Didsbury showed fight and following a turnover and a superb kick and chase they almost crossed the Crewe line.

It was the wake up call needed for Crewe to take back possession and they ran in two further tries, one of which was scored and
converted by youngster Katie Parry.

Crewe Captain Mollie Latham said: “I’m so proud of our team today, it was an incredible victory off the back of two heavy defeats and it’s a testament to the resilience of our squad and the depth of players we have managed to accrue.

“Everyone played their part in the win today and we now have to build on this momentum and close the season on a high in twon weeks time!”

Crewe and Nantwich 1sts had their game called off.

The U16s were well beaten by Wrexham on the Reaseheath 3G pitch, but the U14s put in a fine display to beat local rivals Sandbach 47-28 at the same venue on Sunday.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
