Detectives are hunting a gang of men who attacked a man walking his dog in Crewe.

The 38-year-old victim was walking his dog on a path off Doddington Road when a group of males approached him.

The victim, from the local area, was then hit and kicked by the group.

He suffered facial injuries during the incident at around 9pm on Saturday December 28.

The offenders then ran off in the direction of Alton Street.

One of the men has been described as white, aged around 16 to 20 and was wearing a maroon coloured padded jacket.

Detective Constable Simon Knowles, from Crewe CID, said: “This unprovoked assault has left the victim understandably shaken and we are determined to track down those responsible.

“As part of our investigation, I would like to hear from anyone who may have seen a group of young men around the time of the incident.

“Alternatively, I would like to hear from anyone who may have captured dashcam footage near the Doddington Road/Alton Street areas of Crewe around 9pm on Saturday.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
