Boxing Day walk in Wistaston

Eleven local walkers and nine dogs braved the rain to take part in the annual Wistaston Community Council Boxing Day stroll.

The group started at Wistaston Memorial Hall on Church Lane in Wistaston.

The rain had caused muddy fields with one walker getting both her wellies stuck in the mud.

However, they were eventually freed and returned with the help of other walkers.

A representative from Wistaston Community Council said: “Many thanks to all the participants and their dogs for braving the elements and leaving the comforts of home for the 2019 Boxing Day walk. We hope you had a lovely Christmas and that you have a good New Year.”

Wistaston Community Council always welcomes new members to help organise Wistaston-based events including the Spring concert, Summer Fete, Flower and Produce Show, Fireworks Display and Christmas Concert.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
