crane fire in Tarporley

Fire crews tackled a blaze involving a mobile crane on the A54 in Tarporley.

The fire broke out at around 7am today (November 19).

Four fire engines attended – from Chester, Northwich, Ellesmere Port and one from Powey Lane.

Fire crews attended to reports of a mobile crane on fire on Kelsall Hill in Tarporley.

Wearing two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and two hose reels have been used to put out the fire.

The crane was checked using the thermal imaging camera.

The A54 has been closed in both directions with traffic diverting through Tarvin due to fuel leaking onto the carriageway.

Crews were in attendance for four hours and 20 minutes.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
