Four men who burgled shops in Nantwich town centre and stole more than £27,000 worth of stock, have been jailed.
David Benn, Benjamin Benn, Ben Collins and Aaron Hobin were all sentenced at Chester Crown Court, and jailed for a total of 13 years.
The group, from Wolverhampton, had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglary at an earlier hearing.
Hobin also admitted driving without insurance, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving with false number plates.
During the hearing, the court heard that the men burgled Nantwich clothing store Pockets on two separate occasions.
The first incident took place in the early hours of Thursday January 25, when the group used a crow bar to force entry into the store.
Once inside they ransacked the shop and stole more than £10,000 worth of clothing.
Over a year later, on Saturday April 20 2019, the men returned to the store, this time taking more than £17,500 worth of stock.
The group returned to Nantwich on Thursday May 30, 2019, this time targeting Busy IT.
Once again the men used a crow bar to force entry into the building before stealing a number of laptops and other electrical equipment.
As well as these three burglaries, the men also admitted breaking into a commercial premises in Leicestershire on Sunday April 7 2019.
On that occasion they cut a hole in a wall to enter the building and stole various items.
Their downfall came after detectives were able to link the men to the incidents using DNA evidence, CCTV footage and ANPR analysis, which showed them travelling from Wolverhampton to Nantwich to commit the burglary offences in the town.
Following their sentencing, Detective Constable Pete Taylor, of Crewe CID, said: “I welcome the custodial sentences handed to these men and I hope they act as a deterrent to others thinking of coming to Cheshire to commit similar offences.
“The group initially denied being responsible for the burglaries, but thankfully, after being presented with a catalogue of evidence, they pleaded guilty to the charges brought against them.
“I am pleased that these men are now behind bars, where they can no longer pose a threat to Cheshire businesses, and I hope that their convictions will provide reassurance to the victims and the local community.
“I would like to thank all the officers and staff involved in this case for all their hard work and dedication in what has been a lengthy and complex investigation.
“I would also like to thank all of the witnesses who came forward during our investigation and helped us to secure these convictions.”
Benjamin Benn, 32, (pictured, left) of Hammond Avenue, Wolverhampton, was jailed for four years and three months.
Collins, 24, of Owen Road, Wolverhampton, was handed a custodial sentence of three years and six months.
David Benn, 28, (pictured, right) of Hammond Avenue, Wolverhampton, was ordered to serve three years in prison.
Hobin, 25, was imprisoned for two years and two months and given six points on his driving licence.
