This tradition was in place long before you had your pets so you should have thought of this when taking on the responsibility of ownership.
perhaps I can direct you to Granada reports last night and the feature of a 6 yr old autistic girl whose companion of six months was startled by a firework, bolted and was run over and killed as well as the well documented incidents with emergency services being attacked with too readily available fireworks. With respect to “tradition” we did also drown supposed witches and use leeches to “cure” people but things have moved on a little.
I have friends with children who are frightened of fireworks should they have considered contraception because of this so called tradition
How long do residents have to put up with this nonsense. It is bad enough that people buy into the American imported Halloween rubbish, but to then have nearly two weeks fireworks to supposedly celebrate an attempted mass murder. To those who choose to have Home fireworks how would they feel if 20 dog owners with pets sat outside their house for two weeks and let the dogs bark until nearly midnight. That what has been put up with by dog and other pet owners
