ghost hunt - crewe lyceum halloween

A Ghoulish Ghost Hunt, blood curdling Body Snatcher and sinister Ice Cream Man are set to provide some wickedly good entertainment this Halloween at Crewe Lyceum.

The popular theatre has a selection of horrifyingly good shows for audiences who just can’t get enough of the spooky season.

On Friday (October 25), Odd Doll Theatre presents Seaside Terror.

Celebrating the British horror and British holidays of the 70s, the show brings together puppetry, mask and specially composed music to fill the stage with nerve-shattering shocks.

Based on the format of vintage horror movies such as Dr Terror’s House of Horrors and Tales from the Crypt, Seaside Terror features five different tales, linked by a rather sinister ice cream man with some very strange stories to tell.

The question is ‘Will anyone live long enough to repeat them?’

‘Who ya gonna call’ on Monday October 28, when daring ghost hunters are given the chance to explore the heights and depths of one of the most haunted buildings in Cheshire.

The theatre’s popular Ghost Hunt allows the supernaturally curious to roam the Edwardian building late at night to investigate the paranormal beings lurking in the darkness.

The theatre, which featured on TV’s Most Haunted, is steeped with supernatural history, and the tour is perfect for a budding ghost hunter or anyone looking for a Halloween night out with a difference.

The evening is investigational and for the purposes of entertainment.

Even after the horror of All Hallows Eve has passed, Halloween isn’t quite dead and buried.

On Thursday November 7, dystopian thriller The Body Snatcher arrives at the theatre.

Set 50 years after Brexit with the country fighting a mysterious disease, a young scientist arrives in the remote town of Inglenook.

Haunted by his past, he knows the future of this beleaguered country may lie in his hands – but needing dead bodies to do his work, he can’t work out why so many are turning up at his laboratory.

Inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s spine-tingling story, The Body Snatcher is given a modern day twist with live performances of songs by David Bowie and The Clash.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
