A visitor enjoys a miniature-gauge steam train ride (1)

South Cheshire Model Engineering Society hosted a fundraising event for Macmillan Cancer Support on their premises at the rear of The Peacock Inn in Willaston, writes Jonathan White.

There were miniature-gauge train rides on offer on the 5-inch railway track which is almost a quarter of a mile in length, as well as hot drinks, a wide variety of cakes and a tombola.

It is the seventh year the Macmillan Cancer Support fundraiser has taken place, but the first time at the railway track in Willaston.

Proceeds will go to Macmillan Cancer Support https://www.macmillan.org.uk/

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
