RSPCA sponsored dog walk

Dogs and their humans are invited to take part in a sponsored dog walk to raise money for RSPCA Stapeley Grange and RSPCA Crewe & Nantwich branch.

The 5km dog walk takes place on Saturday October 5 at 11am, starting and finishing at the Rising Sun Inn on Middlewich Road, Wistaston.

Lee Stewart, manager at RSPCA Stapeley Grange, in London Road, Nantwich, said: “We’d love to see as many dogs and their two-legged humans as possible at our event to help us raise much-needed funds for both ourselves and the local RSPCA Crewe and Nantwich branch.

“The route will take walkers around King George V Playing Field, through Queens Park, along Wistaston Brook and through Bluebell Wood, ending back at the Rising Sun Inn for a well-deserved celebratory drink.

“It will be a great event for all the family – especially the dogs – and you will be supporting two very worthy charities.”

There are prizes available for most money raised.

To take part in the walk, you can register by emailing rspcacreweandnantwich@yahoo.co.uk

Stapeley Grange rehomes 200 cats a year and helps rehabilitate more than 6,500 wild animals every year.

The RSPCA’s Crewe & Nantwich branch, a separately registered charity, rehomes dogs and cats who have been rescued by the RSPCA’s inspectorate.

This year is a big year for Stapeley Grange, as it’s the centre’s 25th anniversary.

Over this time the team will have helped over 130,000 wild, domestic and exotic animals.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
