circus in a box - entertainment food festival

Organisers of Nantwich Food Festival have unveiled the entertainment lined up for the event August 30 to September 1.

Musicians lined up to play include Baxter, Callum Joseph Wright, Oli Ng and Jim Kirkpatrick.

And bands include Tokyo Misfires, Almaz and Stone Cold Soberish.

The Cat Radio will again host both live music stages, and there is music on the St Mary’s Church green.

Festival music manager Gary Johnson said: “Acclaimed local musicians Baxter, Callum Joseph Wright, Oli Ng and Jim Kirkpatrick all have loyal bands of followers because of their unique talents.

“While the popular Italian singers: Salvatore Tuzze and Dean Lanza – the grandson of Mario Lanza no less – are back for a second year on the Bowling Green stage, again sponsored by Romazzino Italian Restaurant.

“The Love Lane stage will highlight Tokyo Misfires, the svelte vocals of Almaz and rockin trio Stone Cold Soberish.”

The festival will have street entertainment for all ages starting with the Friday Night Fun from 4.30pm onwards.

Karen Young, the FNF organiser, added: “We have a great line-up: Circus in a Box were so wonderful last year that we’ve again booked them.

“Everyone loves their zany high-energy entertainment, so prepare yourselves for their fire eating, bubbleology, stilt walking and lots more throughout the town centre.

“Cheshire College South and West will provide two bands and one solo musician who will entertain us at the small stage at Love Lane area near Morrisons.

“Mr Jolly’s Victorian Street Magic will be in the town centre, with his entertainment for children and adults alike, whilst the Studio S dance group will perform on the green in front of St Mary’s Church.

“Finishing the FNF line-up in the town for the second year will be Pa Gozar Salsa Band in St Mary’s Church well.

“Should be a great evening for all the family.”

The BBQ competition will return on Festival Sunday next to the Broil King stall in Love Lane area.

All meat is given free by Cheerbrook Farm Shop, one of the Festival’s main sponsors, and instruction is available on the use of the high end BBQs.

For the third year, young foodies aged 12 years and over can enter a burger making competition, with an iPad mini for the winner donated by local butcher Charles Clewlow.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
