Arsonists set fire to a former youth club building in Crewe.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the building on Mirion Street was deliberately set on fire.

The blaze started at around 5pm on June 25. Two fire engines from Crewe were dispatched to discover a blaze inside a former youth club.

Sgt Jo Taylor said: “If the fire had spread to neighbouring buildings it could have had very serious consequences for those living or working there.

“This is not the first time this building has been targeted and we are urging anyone who sees suspicious activity in the area to report it to police.

“The suspects themselves are also putting their own lives at risk with their senseless actions.

“If you have any information on those responsible, or you witnessed the incident, I would urge you to contact police.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101, or via https://www.cheshire.police.uk/contact/general-enquiries/ quoting IML 438052.

Alternatively information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
