A pensioner from Wrenbury near Nantwich has died in a crash on the A41.

Cheshire Police are investigating the fatal collision which happened at No Man’s Heath today (Wednesday 17 April).

The crash happened at 9.06am and involved two HGVs and a Land Rover.

The driver of the Land Rover, an 80-year-old man from Wrenbury, died at the scene.

One man was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital as a precaution and has since been discharged.

The A41 was closed between the Broxton roundabout and the roundabout for the A41/A49.

This will remain closed until this evening for recovery of the vehicles.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and severe delays are likely.
