A man had to be cut free from wreckage and airlifted to hospital after his car crashed into a telegraph pole in Tarporley.

The incident happened at the A49/A51 roundabout on the outskirts of the village at around 3.30pm on Thursday (March 21).

Two fire engines attended – one from Chester and one from Winsford.

Crews discovered a Ford Fiesta on its roof after the collision with the pole.

A man was physically trapped inside it, but they manage to free him before he was treated at the scene by paramedics and then airlifted to hospital.

Paramedics also assessed two other people who were in the car when it collided with the telegraph pole – a male and a female.

One of them was also taken to hospital.

The A51 was closed as emergency services worked at the scene.

Firefighters were in attendance for around an hour.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
