Geoff Norcott - comedy nantwich stand up live

‘The Very Best In Stand Up’ returns to Nantwich Civic Hall on Friday March 1 with another top bill of comedy.

The first act is Geoff Norcott (pictured), who has become one of the most in-demand live comics and TV writers since his last appearance in Nantwich.

He has credits on top comedy shows including ‘8 out of 10 Cats’, ‘Live at the Apollo’, ‘The Mash Report’ ‘C4’s Alternative Election’, ‘The Sarah Millican Television Programme’, ‘The British Comedy Awards’ and more.

In 2013, second on the bill Chris Kent was voted as one of the Top Five Irish Comedians by Hot Press Magazine.

This followed on from being listed as “One to watch” in The Dubliner magazine’s ‘Red Hot and Rising’ for 2012.

Having shared the stage with the likes of Bill Burr, Dylan Moran, David O’ Doherty, PJ Gallagher and Neil Delamare, Chris is en route to becoming a household name.

Last up is circuit veteran David Hadingham.

Although he’s making his debut in Nantwich, David made his comedic debut in a room behind a pub back in 1993 and since then has gone on to achieve great things.

He has stellar reviews, the Guardian called him a “comic genius” while The Scotsman described David as “hilariously funny” after appearing in the screaming blue murder Edinburgh show.

If you like your comedy a little on the darker side, David is the man for you.

He has complemented his live work with several radio and television appearances, most notably a blistering set in BBC1’s The Stand Up Show, and a video diary of his first one hour solo show at the 1996 Edinburgh Festival for ITV’s Funny Business.

Compere and host for the evening is Danny McLoughlin, one of the best MCs on the circuit who makes it look so easy.

The show takes place on Friday March 1 and tickets are on sale at £10.

They are available from the Civic Hall direct or online via the www.civiccomedy.co.uk page.

Doors open at 7.15pm and the show starts at 8.15pm.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
