Occupants walked away unhurt after a vehicle crashed off the A51 Nantwich Road in Wardle.

The incident happened shortly after 3am yesterday (January 26) and was attended by fire crews from Nantwich and Tarporley.

Firefighters responded to reports of a car on fire following the collision on the A51, near Nantwich.

Crews discovered the fire was already out on arrival and nobody was trapped in the vehicle.

The team used and thermal imaging camera to check for any hotspots.

They also stemmed an oil leak and made the vehicle safe.

In a separate incident (pictured), a man had to be cut free from a vehicle following an incident on the A534 Wrexham Road in Faddiley, near Nantwich.

The collision, shortly after 8pm on January 24, resulted in fire crews cutting the roof of the car off using equipment so they could free the trapped man.

They then handed the casualty to the care of paramedics.
