Firefighters tackled a tumble dryer fire on Barony Road in Nantwich.

The blaze happened on Thursday at 7.45pm.

Two fire engines attended from Crewe attended the fire on the ground floor of a house.

Firefighters wore two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a positive pressure ventilation fan were used to put out the fire and extinguish the smoke.

Crews were detained for about 50 minutes.
