Two men charged in connection with the death of Audlem dad Adam Lovatt have pleaded not guilty.

Samuel Thorpe and Nicholas Hill entered their pleas at a hearing at Chester Crown court today (January 16).

Thorpe, 23, of Annions Lane, Wybunbury, will stand trial for manslaughter.

Hill, 35, of Moorsfield Avenue, Audlem, will stand trial for assisting an offender.

Their trials are scheduled to begin on July 1 at Liverpool Crown Court.

Two other people arrested in connection with the incident are facing no further action.

Mr Lovatt was found with serious injuries on Shropshire Street in Audlem on Friday May 25, 2018.

The 45-year-old, (pictured below), was taken to Royal Stoke Hospital where he later died.
